HANDMADE ART IS EXPENSIVE! IT’S JUST A MYTH

Every piece of art that one creates with their own hands brings pride and joy that is immeasurable. Decorating a small corner of the house; accentuating home interiors, converting those left-over, unwanted, damaged scrap into a beautiful home décor; creating some exquisite art in a DIY bottle painting…all these leave the artist in an elated state. I am sure you get what I am saying 😊  

I feel handcrafted art is exclusive, because lot of thought process, patience and hard work have gone into them, not to mention the emotions. They come with loads of value-addition and no two pieces will exactly be the same.  And all these factor in when we are putting a price to them.

While this may not hold true for machine-made art, where an art piece is replicated to produce many. An art piece in print is definitely cheaper but can’t express the effort the artisan has put in  each of his strokes in creating his distinct artwork.

Machine-produced art may come in varieties and sizes and at cheap costs, but if you are person who understands the artist’s emotions and the long hours that would have gone into creating an exclusive hand-made art, then probably you would look beyond the price. 

Considering the fact that buying a handmade art supports the local artisans, budding entrepreneurs , it’s definitely worth a buy. Even with its visible flaws, imperfections which is a mark of a handmade art, it stands out to speak for itself. Handmade is a gift that your loved ones would cherish and remember for long.
